This module has helped me think about the impact of the Internet on my students’ learning in the following ways…
I know my students are on the internet and probably know more about it than I do. Our team already has a website that students and parents can use to keep up to date on the goings on in our grade level. This site is updated daily with homework, links to resources, and upcoming events. We are considering adding a blogging piece to this, but I am very leery of this. I also don’t know how this would be required as all of my students do not have computer access at home. I do not want to take responsibility for what inappropriate or poor choices that students might make or how I would track student use. I am very concerned about cyber-bullying. I would prefer to use blogging strictly through the district when it becomes available.
