Module Three Reflection

This module has helped me think about the impact of the internet on my students’ learning in the following ways…First of all, I think of how CAUTIOUS I would need to be if I allowed my students to blog or instant message in my classroom using the internet. In this day in age, our students know a whole lot more than we know about the internet, and I am not confident that all students would make the appropriate choices when using the internet. I am not ready to take on that responsibility in my classroom. I do feel that using a blog to create a “book club” idea in my room would be fantastic, but I feel this type of freedom to use the internet is asking for security and bullying problems. With the world of cyber bullying, I think I will stick with sharing ideas face to face.
