Module 2 Reflection

This module has helped me think about using standards, CFQs, or formative assessment in the following ways: I start by using standards as a basis to formulate a project based unit. Once I know the standard to be taught, I can then derive the learning objectives and meaningful questions I will expect my students to explore. For me, it is sometimes easier to start with the content questions, and work backward. Once I know the concrete, I can better formulate the unit questions, and finally come to the essential question.
I next will look to make assessments for my unit. I need to start with accessing students prior knowledge with a pretest and journal prompts. This will help me to guide my lessons. I will give students checklists, rubrics, and storybook guides to help guide them through the project.
