Module 6 Reflection

Module 6 Reflection

This module has helped me think about self-directed learners and the role of differentiation in the following ways…I discovered, along with the help of my teammates, that I hit a snag when it comes to assigning group oriented projects. Like them, I grouped students “mixing” ability levels; with the best of intentions but always seeming to hit a snag. This module showed me some really cool tools to use to group students randomly, or I could do it according to ability level. Seeing examples of how I can design a rubric allowing students to assess themselves as well as the group during the whole process allows the opp. for more “self-direction.” By doing so and having them go back and look and reflect, it would hopefully give them the opportunity to grow as independent learners. This too would allow me to better meet individual learner needs.
