Module 3 Reflection

This module has helped me think about the impact of the internet on my students’ learning in the following ways. Students come into fifth grade being pretty “internet savy,” or at least they think so. It is the “way” things are moving, and who know…before too long, textbooks will all be online. They need to be proficient, and I understand that, but there are still a lot of potential hazardous loopholes that exist no matter what way you try to incorporate it into the classroom for student use. Even researching online is not always “guaranteed.”

Am I excited about the potential that the internet provides for what we can do with students? Sure, but until there is an even better and safer way for students to use it the way I want them to, I’m going to be cautious with how I implement it.
